Glimpses of Karnataka Folklore
The great epics like Ramayana and Mahabaratha are known to every scholar and reader. Although village people of illiterates also know of these two epics. But in India, regional folk epics remain largely unexplored. However, in South India, especially in Karnataka numerous epics have existed and no one can placed in the Ramayana and Mahabaratha level.
Karnataka is accumulated with various cultural complexes, traditions rituals, etc. In Karnataka, the Coorg District is popularised as a second Kashmir, and different peoples, especially Kodavas whose culture, traditional songs, riddles, language, and dress patterns are entirely different from others.
